How we got here
The Echuca Bowls Club began in 1918, and we celebrated our centenary in 2018 with tournaments, celebrations and historic displays.
We have been a part of Echuca's fabric for generations, bringing enjoyment to members and guests. There are approximately 170 members and we encourage anyone to join. Ages have ranged from 10 years old to our oldest member, who was 108.
Our pennant teams feature regularly in finals and are often looking for new talent. Many of our members are retired and are able to work in a variety of volunteering roles. All members bring unique talents that can benefit the club. We are proud of the sense of inclusion and belonging that this fosters.
The original club was opposite the Echuca Workers Club, with greens where the ten-pin bowling used to be.
“Lawn bowls is a game of precision, patience and passion — every roll counts, but it's the friendships that last.”
